EU put us all at risk again, PM

- FIONA PARKER Edited by

BORIS Johnson has done what he said he would and walked away from EU negotiations. Why can’t he and his cabal, including Gove, Rees-mogg, Cummings et al just admit they never intended to come to an agreement in the first place?

Undoubtedly, according to Johnson, it is all the EU’S fault since Johnson, just like Trump, never accepts any blame.

I hope the people who voted for Brexit and voted this useless Government into power will be very happy next year when food prices rise, the value of the pound drops, unemployment soars and the people in power get an inflation-busting pay rise for dragging this country even further into the mire than their Tory predecessors. Congratulations to you all.

Boris Johnson says if we walk away without a deal we still have great opportunities. Does he ever actually explain what they are? He claims we will have better trade deals with Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. Those nations are thousands of miles away. France is at the other end of the Channel Tunnel , while Ireland is our direct neighbour. But no, Brexiteers blame the EU for not co-operating. Do people still believe Boris Johnson and co. will make Britain great again? Instead, we could see the breakup of the UK. I wonder how many who voted Leave and for Jo hns on wi l l s o on b e unemployed?

I give up with this useless, inept Government. They have no idea what they are doing with this virus, and are rushing us towards the edge of a cliff with a no-deal Brexit like a load of lemmings.

Kent will become a lorry park with drivers needing papers to be able to drive in their own country.

How has it come to thi s? Johnson can spout Latin 24/7 since, believe me, that makes more sense than what he’s saying now.

No wonder Theresa May looked stunned in the House of Commons on Monday. Yet again, the man in charge of Brexit no-deal preparations, Michael Gove, hit the nail on the head.

While the former PM tried to sell us down the river, Mr Gove and his team have stood up to Brussels.

Britain has paid into the EU for 45 years. All that Boris Johnson has been fighting for since Brexit has been a Canada-style free trade deal. Watch this space everyone.

If Brussels don’t budge it is Europe who will be the losers.

I voted to Remain but accepted the result to Leave. However, I am at a loss to understand why Britain is insistent that EU should bend over backwards to accommodate our withdrawal conditions? As we are the ones who decided to leave why should the EU comply?

Well done to Boris Johnson for standing up to the EU. Who do Macron, Barnier and the rest think they are?

Do they not comprehend the reason we voted to leave the EU is because they exercise too much control over us?

We must not let them fish in our waters or tell us what to do in any regard. Please just get us out.

Just who does Boris Johnson think he is kidding playing such a game of bluff over a Brexit deal.

We are in such a nowhere place without any bargaining chips – and the EU knows it.
