KIERNAN’S A FOXY SIGNING FOR HATTERS

ON-LOAN Kiernan Dewsbury-hall made his debut for Luton – then backed himself to be a success back at Leicester.
The 22-year-old signed for the rest of the season after agreeing a new fouryear deal with the Foxes.
And he helped the Hatters bounce back from two defeats in a row to see off 10-man Sheffield Wednesday.
Dewsbury-hall had a spell on loan at League One Blackpool last term, started for Leicester against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup last month, and is eager to impress in the Championship.
He said: “It’s a bit more intense than League One, a bit quicker and the standard of play is probably a bit better – but I’d back myself to play in the Premier League.”
Pelly Mpanzu (above) atoned for a glaring firsthalf miss by scoring the only goal of the game on 74 minutes, soon after being on the end of a red-card high tackle by Owls defender Joost van Aken.
Wednesday, docked 12 points before the season started, remain bottom of the table and have not won at Hillsborough in 11 games.
Boss Garry Monk said: “I think the players deserve more time to turn round the home form. But we have to be better.”
