It’s Picasso.. in miniature
Cash bids pour in for work by art novice Jayden, 5
A BOY of five dubbed “the next Picasso” by his mum is already receiving cash bids for his work.
Talented Jayden only took up art recently but one of his pictures in particular, which he painted last month, is attracting great interest.
Hundreds of strangers online have offered up to £100 for his depiction of an autumnal landscape.
He used acrylic paint to create the blue sky, trees with multicoloured leaves and a pond showing the reflections.
After sharing a photo of the
TELEVISION STAR Jayden’s delight at seeing his work featured on an ITV logo
painting on Facebook, his mother Kate, 40, was inundated with requests to buy it.
But the piece means so much to him that his family decided against selling it.
Jayden , who receives home schooling in Yorkshire due to additional needs, painted it a day after watching a Youtube tutorial on landscapes. His work has also featured on an ITV “ident” logo.
Special needs teacher Kate said: “People ask to buy his pictures but Jayden doesn’t want to sell them. He calls the autumnal one special to
him. When he does painting or something practical, it calms him down and he feels rewarded by his achievement. He’s the next Picasso.”
Kate studied art at college and has encouraged Jayden to follow in her creative steps.
She said: “I took him to the duck pond so he could understand reflection.
“He followed the Youtube clip step by step and the result was a ma z i n g . He h a s d e f i n i t e ly embraced his hidden talent.”
