This week Lemon-aid suggests making Mummy Rice Krispies Treats that involve barely any effort at all.

You’ll need Rice Krispies Squares, white chocolate, lolly sticks, large candy eyes, a disposable piping bag and a flat frosting tip. 1) Insert a lollipop stick into the base of each Square and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 25 minutes.

2) Microwave the white chocolate in a dish for 30 second periods, stirring until melted. 3) Remove the Squares bars from the fridge and dip in the melted chocolate using a spoon to completely coat. Add two candy eyes and leave to set.

4) Re-heat the leftover chocolate and scoop into the piping bag with a flat nozzle. Gently squeeze over the mummy treats in a back and forth motion to make bandages, and leave to set before scaring the kids with them.

And my own go-to spooky decoration tip is wrapping bandages around a few jam jars and sticking a pair of googly eyes on them to make Mummy candleholders.

Halloween? Tick. Done.

We ask only to be reassured about the noises in the cellar and the window that should not have been open.
