We still have a large number of warriors to avenge the faithful AL-MADHI IN THREAT TO PRESIDENT MACRON

A NEW terror group has posted a video boasting about carrying out the horrific Nice attack and warning there are more to come.

Al-mahdi, which is based in southern Tunisia and is believed to have close links to al-qaeda, said it organised last Thursday ’s triple killing in which a woman was beheaded.

In the film it threatened the French President, saying: “As long as Macron’s dog continues to caricature the prophet, we still have a large number of warriors to avenge the faithful.”

In the one-minute video a man says his organisation “prepared the young man for the attack in Nice” and “provided him with the logistical means”.

The individual claimed to be part of this unknown group and threatened new attacks on French soil.

Emmanuel Macron has sparked fur y amongst some Muslim countries for recent comments. He gave an interview to Al Jazeera TV insisting France will never abandon the right of “freedom of expression” in the aftermath of rows over cartoons of the prophet Mohammed, sparking protests across the world

This latest attack has led to growing fears Tunisia is again becoming a hotbed of terrorism. In 2015 38 holidaymakers, including 30 Brits, were killed in a terror attack in the seaside resort of Sousse.

As the video was released French police confirmed they had now released three of the men they had arrested in connection with the incident at Notre-dame Basilica.

Three men still remain in custody and terror suspect Brahim Aouissaoui is under armed guard in hospital.

Ye st e rd ay Tu n i si a n a u t h o r i t i e s launched a probe into the group and its links to the Nice attacker.

Us-based security analyst company Stratfor said: “Tunisia is currently in the hot seat for allowing the 21-year old Tunisian suspect in the attack to illegally migrate to Nice and for not identifying him as a security threat.”
