RYAN SESSEGNON has revealed he is not “even surprised anymore” after receiving abuse describing him as a “n****r and a “slave” on social media.

Spurs have moved to support the £25 million winger – on loan at German club Hoffenheim – after he shared a screenshot of several messages he had received on

Instagram. Sessegnon, 20, wrote: “Honestly unbelievable. The craziest thing is I’m not even surprised anymore Disgusting”.

Spurs’ Twitter account posted in response: “Everyone at the club is with you @Ryansessegnon.

“We are proud of the rich ethnic diversity that exists across our communities, fans, staff and players. We are driven by inclusion and equality for all and nobody should have to endure such repulsive abuse.”

Hoffenheim followed up, insisting on Twitter that they stood for “tolerance, integration and respect”.

The Bundesliga club added: “We reject any form of racism, discrimination and exclusion and say no to racism. We are proud of the rich ethnic diversity that exists across our communities, fans, staff and players. We are driven by inclusion and equality f or all and nobody should have to endure such repulsive abuse.”

England Under-21 star Sessegnon (above, with his online comments and those of hi s suppor tive clubs) moved to Tottenham from Fulham last summer.

But he was allowed to seal a temporary move away from Spurs following the arrival of

Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid during this year’s summer transfer window.

Sessegnon has now joined Raheem Sterling (above), Wilfried Zaha and Troy Deeney, all of whom have also spoken about racist and threatening abuse.

L a st month , Watf o rd striker Deeney even questioned whether social media companies have the will to wipe abuse.
