NEWS WILL TAKE SMILE OFF FACES
Rotten “dentist” Barrie Semp has been made bankrupt, along with his wife Tamara Alexis Semp.
I’ve previously told how he’s been prosecuted for illegally carrying out dental work because he’s not qualified.
His company, Smile Centre UK Ltd, was liquidated owing £655,000, much of it to patients who had paid in advance for dentures. Then in the summer, his second company, Smiles Better Practices Limited, was put into liquidation over an unpaid £13,000 debt.
A new company, Smiles Better Dental Limited, has sprung up at the same address in Bury, Greater Manchester.
When it was incorporated the sole shareholder was listed as an Alexis Deniston. This is Tamara Alexis Semp, using her maiden name.
She has now ceased to be a person of significant control and 23-year-old Romi Semp, the son of Barrie, has been made a director.
“Our business is in no way connected to Barrie Semp or Tamara Alexis Semp/alexis Deniston,” he told me.
I asked why the website of Smiles Better Dental carries the logo of the Care Quality Commission when it is not registered with it.
This, he said, must be a search engine issue, and the logo has now been removed.
And why do positive online reviews pre-date the formation of Smiles Better Dental?
“As far as Trustpilot reviews are concerned, they are an amalgamation of Smiles Better Practices Limited and Smiles Better Dental Limited and dental-related businesses registered at this address which, according to Trustpilot, cannot be isolated or removed,” he said.
