It’s a Mad SESSIONS Timebomb NEXT UP

-

A quick mention for The Mad Dalton – as it’s admirable for anyone to find the time and motiviatoin to release new music just at the moment –especially something as explosive and thoughtful as Timebomb.

The track was particularly ly apt released as it was ahead of the US presidential election – but the pessimistic themes remain frustratingly apt. Musically – it’s also hugely ambitious – the Belfast singer songwriter creating real doom with huge riffs, the drone of an accordion, archive radio clips and his prertty captivating vocal style. If vaccines and Biden have you optimistic, it’s maybe one to avoid…

Hopefully some of you will have watched the NI Music Prize (which was live online last night and available to watch until the end of time) and appreciated – just as was the case with the entire Sound of Belfast festival – the impimportance of dedecent sound and high production values when it comes to live mmusic ststreaming online. Happilyha – you can expect more of the same with the Atlantic Sessions – a wonderful festival that usually takes place in venues up the North Coast this time of year – but is, of course, online for 2020.

Roe, Malojian, (above) Ports, New Pagans and The Darkling Air are amongst the acts you’ll be able to watch online over this weekend at www. atlanticsessions.com. My advice is to do the performances justice and put down your phone or laptop, instead watching on your TV! If you can work out how!
