HARRY KANE has warned he wants many more goalscoring milestones to look back on when he hangs up his boots.

The Tottenham talisman (above) registered his 201st goal for the club – and his 150th Premier League goal – in the win over West Brom before the international break, which helped send his side to second in the table.

But, as Spurs prepare to take on Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow, the England captain says that now he simply moves on to the next target.

Kane, speaking to the Tottenham matchday programme (below), said: “It’s been a good start to the season, personally.

“But it is on to the next milestone. When these achievements come, they are obviously great to reach, but you just look to the next game, the next goal, the next assist and try to help the team as much as possible.

“These milestones are just things that you will look back on at the end of your career and be proud of.”

Kane is now third in Tottenham’s all-time scoring record lists, at the age of 27, behind 1960-61 Double legend Bobby Smith, who has 208, and Spurs great Jimmy Greaves, top of the list with 266.

He has a long way to go to score the most goals for one English club – Dixie Dean bagged 383 for Everton and Ian Rush hit 346 for Liverpool.

Alan Shearer holds the record for Premier League goals, with 260.

But Kane said: “It’s about staying as humble as possible. Knowing that I can improve every day, knowing that I can work hard every day and find the little percentages that can help me in the future.

“I’m still only 27, I feel I still have a lot to learn and a lot to give. I know every day in training that I am trying to improve.

“Every day for me is just another opportunity to try to get better. I always back myself, always have full belief in myself. I just have to keep focusing on what I’m doing.”
