Giving Sweeney some help could Tipp the balance
RONAN MCCARTHY has had a hard job, bringing the Cork players down to earth for the Munster final.
The Rebels need a big performance to prove that beating Kerry was no fluke but they have plenty of room for improvement, especially up front where their starting forwards only managed one point from play against Kerry.
Conor Sweeney has admitted that Tipperary enjoy playing Cork and if they can pull one of those big performances out of the locker they will cause problems.
But they desperately need Michael Quinlivan to rediscover his mojo and help Sweeney – whose sideline score against Limerick is my favourite of the year – in the scoring stakes.
However, I expect Cork to push on and play with freedom and it’s them to win by four to six points for me.
