I’VE DONE MY TIME!

-

SCOTT BROWN says he has no regrets about pulling down the curtain on his Scotland career.

And there certainly isn’t any temptation to reverse his decision now the national side has finally reached a major championships again. But instead he’s content with a watching brief and will let his former team-mates make the most of their achievements.

Brown will turn 36 during the Euros next summer and the Hoops icon will be cheering Scotland on from the sidelines. Asked if he fancied coming out of international retirement, he laughed and said: “Nah, I’ve done my time.

“It’s the other lads’ time now. They got there and were the ones that worked so hard over the past couple of years to make sure they qualified and they did it really well.

“It has been a long time. I remember France ’98 well – everyone sitting around the house watching the games – and I know how much it means to the nation.”
