‘A League Apart’ is a fictional story based around the Welsh side’s famous victory over George Graham’s League champions just one season after finishing bottom of the old Fourth Division.

The British romcom features Ricky Tomlinson (of The Royle Family) and follows Wrexham nut Phil as he attempts to prove to his American girlfriend Christina that she means more to him than his beloved Robins.

Welsh Bafta-winning actor, writer and producer Celyn Jones will play Phil, with filming due to start in the summer.
