LOOK AND LEARN, ADE
SCOTT PARKER has told Ademola Lookman to ‘own’ his horrendous spot-kick blunder against West Ham – and become a better player for it.
The Fulham boss doesn’t regret his fury after Lookman’s woeful last-gasp ‘Panenka’ penalty miss last time out (right) that left the Cottagers empty handed. Parker insisted that RB Leipzig loanee Lookman, 23, cannot hide from the moment – but the forward must move on.
Parker said: “Of course everyone was disappointed, and rightly so – Ade understood that.
“He understood I was disappointed, but he was more disappointed than anyone. That reaction will not be regretted by anyone – and certainly not by me. That is all part of growing up. Sometimes you need to see that side.”
Lookman was at Everton between 2017-19, and Parker added: “When players go back to their old clubs, there’s always a little bit more on it for them. Ade has an edge about him. You’ll see a driven player.”
