Fans wait for spy another day as Bond movie ‘delayed again’

NEVER say never but Bond movie No Time To Die’s release date looks set to be delayed yet again.

The film’s official release date is April 2 but a cinema owner in Holland has claimed it will not be out until November.

Respected US website Deadline also reported that promotiona­l partners have been told that the release is now “on a new date in autumn”.

Cary Joji Fukunaga, 43, was originally ori scheduled for release re almost a year ago, in April 2020.

It was first pushed back t to November, before being c changed once again to A April 2021 as the pandemic persisted. Despit e th e latest reports quoting cinema owner Carlo Lambregts, the movie’s official website still displays April 2, 2021 as its release date.

On Twitter, the of ficial @007 account still states: “No Time to Die will be released on 2 April 2021.”

Distributo­rs MGM and Universal Pictures have not commented on the rumours and a final decision may be taken at a later date. In the franchise’s 25th film, Bond, played by Daniel Craig for the last time, has quit his job and is enjoying life in Jamaica.

But when his old CIA friend Felix Leiter turns up asking for help, Bond returns to the field to face villain Safin, who has a new dangerous technology that could impact the world.

Cuban-spanish actress Ana de Armas, 32, plays CIA agent Paloma.

After the delay until April was announced, Daniel, 52, said: “This [pandemic] is bigger than all of us.

“Cinemas all around the world are closed and we want to release the movie at the same time all around the world – and this isn’t the right time.”
