SAS man Ant takes Rebel to Mexico for a desert brainstorm about her weight

ACTRESS Rebel Wilson opened up about her battles with her weight as she braved a journey into the desert with ex-commando Ant Middleton.
The Australian star told Ant, best known as chief instructor in SAS: Who Dares Wins, how last year she turned 40, lost 3st and found love, and was now “the happiest I’ve ever been”.
Baring h er s oul i n the Mexican desert for Ant’s show Straight Talking, she tells him: “When I started gaining quite a lot of weight I was 19 or 20.
“When I went to college, I added 25 kilos in a year or two. I was eating a lot.
“I wasn’t loving myself the way I should from 20 to 40.
That’s 20 years and I feel so sad I did that to myself.” Rebel made 2020 her “year of health” and hit her goal of 75kg, just under 12st.
She has had a successful film career, starring in Bridesmaids, Cats and Pitch Perfect, and says: “I ’d like to think I looked good at any size. I don’t want to project a message that girls can’t be happy as plus sizes. I was living the li life.” fe.” She has been dating bil billionaire Jacob Busch, 29, s since 2019 and tells Ant: “I had lots of really good friends but I never allowed myself to get into relationships until the la last few years.”
Ant, 40, who aims to take celeb celebrities out of their comfort zone in the show, also heard how Rebel suffered sexual harassment in Hollywood. She says: “One was with a director in a hotel room. Nothing happened – his wife called saying he was trying to sleep with me. It didn’t cross my mind.”
The second incident was with a male actor, who asked her to perform a sex act “while his other buddies on set were watching”.
She says: “I felt a bit entrapped in the room. I called my agent, we made an official complaint to the studio.”
Rebel also revealed that on a holiday in Mozambique she was among a group of women kidnapped by armed men. She says: “They were like, ‘Yeah, you’ve got to get off your truck’. They took us to a
house in the middle of nowhere. I said, ‘Everybody link arms,’ because I was petrified in the night that they might want to take one of the girls or something.”
Thankfully, the next morning they were all released without harm.
