PARKER: NO TIME TO DIE, COTTAGERS

- Brighton Fulham BY NEIL MCLEMAN

Kick-off 7.30pm

SCOTT PARKER has told his Fulham side now is No Time to Die before facing Brighton and West Brom in back-to-back relegation dogfights.

The Cottagers boss (above) evoked the spirit of the forthcoming James Bond film before a trip to the Amex Stadium tonight where defeat would see his team fall eight points from safety.

Fulham, who travel to The Hawthorns on Saturday, have not won in eight Premier League matches and crashed out of the FA Cup to Burnley on Sunday.

But Parker insisted: “I think they are big games. Do I see this game as the be-all and end-all if we don’t get a result and our fate is done, I honestly don’t.

“We are halfway through a season here. There are 20 games left in this season. Pressure on players is what sends teams down. In the end, it paralyses them. You can’t really perform and certainly you die too early.

“Do I believe in this team? Do I believe we can go and win two or three on the bounce? I do, 100 per cent. That is not being deluded in any way. We need to not listen to the noise and the negativity. If we had done that at the start of the season, this group of players would have been long gone by now.”

Parker claimed “it is going to be difficult” to buy players in this window because of financial constraints.

Fulham have pledged to investigate allegations of bullying and racism from former academy player Max Noble.

The former Wales youth international, now 31, left Craven Cottage in 2009.

Parker said: “Whether they are historic claims, they will be claims that we, as a football club, will investigate.”

The Fulham boss’s opposite number, Graham Potter (above), said he would love a first home win of the season tonight.

The Brighton boss said: “You can play well, but sometimes you don’t win.

“We’ve got 50-odd points to play for and that is what we have to focus on.”

Wing-back Tariq Lamptey (hamstring) and striker Danny Welbeck (knee) are still out, but Adam Lallana and Aaron Connolly could be fit to take their places on the bench.
