Adults having at least four migraine days a month and where at least three previous preventive treatments have failed can now take a new drug, erenumab (Aimovig).
The decision came after NICE reconsidered new information about erenumab’s benefits to quality of life.
Erenumab, which is given every four weeks as a self-administered injection, usually costs £5,000 a year but the manufacturers are hoping to lower the price.

This half term, Warwick Castle is bringing its popular Knight School into the homes of children across the land. The 20-25 minute session will see the Castle’s own noble Sir Jay carefully guide aspiring knights through traditional sword moves and tactical defence skills, before knighting them into the realm.
The Zoom class will run five times a day from February 15-18 and costs just £2.95 per connection/household, meaning parents can book one slot for multiple children.
