GIOVANNI Pernice says he would happily be vaccinated if Strictly bosses bring in a No Jab, No Jive policy.

The pro dancer on the hit show said he would be first in line if the BBC decided on the move for health and safety reasons.

He said: “The priority for me and for us and for the BBC especially is to be safe.

“If we have to work in environments when you have to dance and get close to somebody and a vaccine was required to be safe for everybody, then why not?

“It’s obviously not my place to give any medical advice to the BBC but of course I would do it.”

Giovanni, 30, has been unable to fly back to Sicily to see his family because of the pandemic.

He said: “I haven’t seen my mum and dad and sister for one year. We tried over Christmas but then all the flights were cancelled.

'I would prefer to wait a little longer and be able to go there and give them a big hug and a kiss.”

Giovanni was partnered with Ranvir Singh last year and she said she would love to see fellow

GMB star Piers Morgan dance with him as the first male pairing.

Giovanni said: “I am more than ready to be partnered with a man.

“Piers is a fantastic person, I really respect him. I would love to see him on the dancefloor.”

He thinks Strictly would be a success again even if there was a lockdown. He said: “Last year was one of the biggest shows.”

Giovanni is hosting exclusive dance classes on Instagram, Monday to Friday at 5-6pm. Book now at www.lockdownclass.co.uk.
