Testing times in horseracing
NEW anti-doping measures in horseracing means every thoroughbred in Ireland is now liable for testing without notice.
The Republic’s Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine granted the new powers to authorised officers at the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board.
Other improvements see the 2021 foal crop become the first to be issued with an e-passport for greater oversight of the horse population.
