Testing times in horseracin­g

NEW anti-doping measures in horseracin­g means every thoroughbr­ed in Ireland is now liable for testing without notice.

The Republic’s Department of Agricultur­e, Food and the Marine granted the new powers to authorised officers at the Irish Horseracin­g Regulatory Board.

Other improvemen­ts see the 2021 foal crop become the first to be issued with an e-passport for greater oversight of the horse population.
