ND HE’S THE GUNTOUCHABLE...

Ilkay Gundogan has scored more goals than any other player across Europe’s top five leagues since the turn of the year, netting nine goals in nine Premier League games in 2021. Ilkay Gundogan has scored 11 Premgoals this season – the only German players to score more in a single campaign in the competition are Jurgen Klinsmann (20) and Uwe Rosler (15), both in the 1994-95 campaign.

LLOYD KELLY is working through Youtube clips of Jonathan Woodgate and nicking the best bits from his stellar playing career.

Woodgate will take his unbeaten run as Bournemouth caretaker to four if he sees off Rotherham on Wednesday. A win could catapult the former England defender into the job full-time.

Kelly (above, tangling with Forest’s Glenn Murray) was in this goalless draw off the bench after only five minutes when Steve Cook pulled his groin. He starred, despite Murray testing him, and Kelly said: “I have got a long way to go with my development and career.

“Having Woody here is good for me. He has had a very good career and I have looked at what he did and you can see what he was like as a centre-half.

“I can pick things up and I will be picking his brain for different scenarios in games.

“He is straight up with you. He is honest. That is all you want in a manager.”

The Cherries remain in the play-off shake-up while Forest boss Chris Hughton continues to guide his side out of trouble after just one defeat in 11 league games.

But he said: “You can go on a good run, look at the table, and see you haven’t moved much.

“That knocks you back a bit. You know, if you lose two or three on the spin, you are putting yourself in a difficult position again.”

KIEFFER MOORE is the wolf in giraffe’s clothing who can help Cardiff knock on the door of the Premier League.

That’s the view of teammate Perry Ng, who set up Cardiff’s third goal for Josh Murphy after Moore had already blown Coventry’s house down with two predatory goals.

Moore is 6ft 5in and powerfully built, but anyone who thinks the Wales striker (right) is a one-trick pony should watch his contribution in this game, where he made it five goals in as many matches.

“He’s an unbelievable striker,” said Ng. “He’s a big lad, but he’s a genuine all-round striker. He runs his socks off and his quality is really good.

“Even though he’s scoring goals at the moment, he helps the team so much, especially defenders.” Coventry pulled a late goal back through Dominic Hyam but boss Mark Robins admitted: “It was just huff and puff, at times. “It was a major disappointment. There still needs to be more scrapping and more fighting from minute one to earn the right to play.”
