Darts missing all the trebles

MODERN darts players prefer meditation to inebriation, promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed.

Stars on the oche no longer get “hammered” because of the big prize pots on offer, meaning the sport is losing many of its “characters”, he suggested.

Hearn, 41, told The Harry Redknapp Show podcast: “People are behaving themselves a lot more. They are now finishing their game and going to do meditation.”

A GAY MP suffered a barrage of vile homophobic abuse after posting a Valentine’s Day picture with his boyfriend.

Labour’s Luke Pollard wanted to publicly show his affection to long-term partner Sydney.

Under a picture of the couple together he wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day to my lovely boyfriend! X”

But the post attracted dozens of homophobic slurs from trolls who also targeted an apparent “age gap” between Luke, 40, and his younger-looking lover.

Among the taunts was one poster who branded him a “dirty Labour n***e”, while another read: “He looks 12 years old, you should be locked up.”

The MP, who represents Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, said there was “no place” for the abuse.

Sero-clothin’

This week’s self-care suggestion for pandemic mood improvement: Dopamine Dressing. Wearing clothes that make you feel good, so you feel good. Only one issue - this many biscuits into lockdown, does that item of clothing even exist any more?

Bark to the futon

This looks like something hard, a log, but is actually something soft, a cushion. Could be the conversation starter you’re grateful for once socialising re-starts and you find yourself a bit rusty… or the final nail in a friendship coffin.

Exciting!
