Woody Allen girl’s abuse claims on TV
Kay given new primetime slot by ITV bosses
THE adopted daughter of Woody Allen will be heard telling her mother in a TV documentary on Sunday how the filmmaker allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Dylan Allen’s claims – made when she was seven in a video shot by her actress mum and Allen’s ex Mia Farrow – will be aired for the first time by HBO.
Allen v Farrow repeats old allegations against the Oscar-winning movie director, who vehemently denies Dylan’s allegations.
Allen, 85, was investigated for alleged abuse but never charged.
He accuses Farrow, 76, of “coaching” Dylan, now 35, into thinking he was a “dangerous sexual predator” and insists: “I never molested my daughter.”
AFTER three weeks in a freezing Welsh castle, Vernon Kay has come in from the cold – with his very own Saturday night ITV show.
The 46-year-old proved popular with viewers as he finished third on last year’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and has been snapped up as the host of the new Game of Talents.
With seven episodes planned for later this year, the show is Vernon’s first on ITV for five years. Contestants will pair up with celebrities to try to fathom the surprising and often bizarre hidden talents of mystery performers.
The Bolton lad said: “We’re lining up some amazing performers whose skills are both jaw-droppingly brilliant and at times surreal.”
He added: “I cannot wait for viewers to play along at home and try to guess who has which hidden talent. Prepare to be shocked and amazed in equal measure.” Vernon, married to Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly, was described as the “perfect host” for the show by Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning for ITV.
She added: “This highoctane show combines the massive scale of a talent show with all the guessing of a gameshow. I can’t wait to see it.” Prior to his stint in I’m a Celebrity’s Welsh castle, the former T4 presenter had been something of a forgotten man, hosting coverage of Formula E motor racing since All Star Family Fortunes ended in 2015. ITV insiders say that if Game of Talents is a hit, it could lead to lots more work for Vernon and he is said to be delighted he is on the comeback trail.
