MASON GREENWOOD has his sights set on winning a first trophy with Manchester United after agreeing a new contract worth close to £25million.

The England forward signed a deal (left) keeping him at Old Trafford until 2025, with the option of an extra year. He will be on about £75,000 a week.

Greenwood has played 82 times for United, scoring 21 goals, and wants to reach 100 appearances by the end of the season and lift silverware.

“We all want to win trophies and are all working hard in training and doing our best in games,” said Greenwood (right with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer). “To win a trophy here would be amazing for me, it’s something I’ve always dreamed of at United.

“You see all the pictures on the wall around Old Trafford, all the trophies we’ve won, and it would be nice to win one soon. Hopefully I’ll get to 100 appearances by the end of the season. It’s great to play that many games for Manchester United, it’s put a smile on my face. I didn’t realise I’d played that many. It’s a high number at 19.

“I’m very happy. I’ve been here since the age of seven, so to sign another contract, every single one is a dream come true. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be in the firstteam and stay as long as possible, win trophies and do the best I can here.”

DAVID ALABA has confirmed he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season when his contract expires.

The Austrian international (below) has been a mainstay of the club’s defence for over a decade winning 27 major honours.

Alaba said: “I have personally made the decision to leave FC Bayern at the end of this season and try something new.”

Alaba, who has been learning Spanish, is known to favour a switch to Real Madrid.

But he insists that no decision has been made on his next club. “First of all, I haven’t decided which club I’m going to join yet,” he added.

Chelsea, Manchester United,

Liverpool, Juventus, Paris Saint-germain and Barcelona are also among admirers.
