The Queen is to decide who will get Harry’s lost royal honours

- EXCLUSIVE BY RUSSELL MYERS

THE Queen will decide “imminently” which members of her family will take over a host of royal patronages as Harry and Meghan tell friends they are “resigned to losing them”.

Her Majesty has ordered meetings with aides to draw up plans for who will assume the honorary roles she handed to her grandson.

Buckingham Palace is set to make a series of announcements before March 31, the date set for a 12-month review of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to quit The Firm.

A source said: “There has been much consideration for some time on these matters.”

Harry and Meghan, who announced this week they are expecting their second child, have brokered a deal for a “tell-all” interview with US chat show queen Oprah Winfrey.

According to friends of the billionaire media mogul, “nothing is off limits”.

It is understood the couple will discuss their decision to leave the Royal Family for the first time.

Sources suggest the couple were keen to bring forward the broadcast date “to make it appear they have stepped down rather than being stripped of their royal associations”.

The Duke and Duchess, who live at Montecito in California where Oprah is a neighbour, did not inform senior royals about the broadcast, set to air on US TV on March 7.

Palace insiders claimed there is a “nervousness” among senior royals at the Sussexes’ decision.

Harry created the Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women, which is now a global phenomenon. Sources have tipped Prince William or Princess Anne for the role.

Harry must also step down from patronages of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League.

MICHELLE Pfeiffer looks the business in a power suit – but she reckons her own work isn’t that sharp.

The star, 62, who plays Janet van Dyne in Avengers: Endgame said she “rarely” likes her own acting.

That is despite appearing in classics such as Scarface and Dangerous Liaisons.

Ahead of her role in dark comedy French Exit, Michelle told Town & Country she can only watch her films once – as it’s “too painful”.
