Charles’ visit to dad raises concern for Philip

PRINCE Charles’ decision to visit his father in hospital has raised concerns over the Duke of Edinburgh’s condition.

Charles made a 250-mile round trip from home in Gloucester­shire to see his 99-year-old dad on Saturday at King Edward VII’S hospital in London.

Visits are only allowed if patients have extra care needs, are receiving end-of life care or in “exceptiona­l circumstan­ces”.

A source close to the Prince said: “The Duke has been in hospital a few days longer than expected and the Prince simply wanted to go and see him.” Meanwhile, a separate Palace source said the Duke’s condition had not changed, and doctors were acting with “an abundance of caution” by keeping him in.

After his rehab journey Kyle said: “I don’t need to drink anymore – I am a dad. I want a house with pictures up and a nice toilet.” Don’t we all.
