PARADISE Falls Road barber shop
A CUT ABOVE Michael Magee in West Belfast shop
TOP TEAM Ready for reopening
MANY businesses add to the unique history of the Falls Road – and The Hoops Barbers is one of them.
Located in the heart of West Belfast, the Celtic Football Club-themed barber shop first opened it’s doors in 2001.
And owner Michael Magee said you don’t have to support the Glasgow giants to come to his shop.
Speaking to the Mirror, he added: “We have customers from everywhere – Downpatrick, Newcastle, the Shankill Road.
“Both sides of the community and I love that.”
And although closures have affected the shop, Michael said they are excited to open their doors up again.
He added: “Hopefully we get back to some normal soon. What will that normal be though? We have been in and out, open and closed. It has been tough.”
BRACE for a colourful blast of dust from the Sahara as temperatures soar to double digits.
The mercury is expected to hit an unseasonable 15C in some areas this week as the Arctic chill ends after a weekend of heavy rain and flooding.
And with spring in the air, we can expect to see deposits on cars as southerly winds carry Saharan dust up from North Africa – which will also give our sunrises and sunsets a different hue.
Temperatures will peak on Wednesday and the Met Office said: “A quite damp and cloudy start in southern and central parts of the UK. Elsewhere,
sunshine from the word go.”

I’m a Celeb... star Vicky Pattison has been having fun by comparing images of her pre-pandemic weekends with her new humdrum life in lockdown.
Echoing the sentiments of many ahead of the PM revealing his Covid roadmap today, Vicky says: “I want to eat posh things. I just want to eat stuff I didn’t cook. Just give us an end date so we can map out when to lose the weight.”
Very relatable, Vicky.
