GET YER GEEK ON, REGE-JEAN

-

He’s smouldering, he’s sensual and he’s... sadly, nothing like that in real life, according to him. In a (doomed) attempt to shed his heart-throb image while hosting US TV show Saturday Night Live at the weekend, Bridgerton star Regejean Page said he’s a world away from the swoon-worthy Duke of Hastings. “Ladies, I hate to break it to you but I am actually just kind of a nerd,” the Brit insisted. He described the steamy series accurately as “the show that made everyone turn to their mums and say ‘You know what, never mind, I don’t think we should watch this together’.”

A LETTER revealing how Albert Einstein predicted the evils of Adolf Hitler almost a decade before he came to power is tipped to fetch £1,500 at auction.

The mathematician raised concerns to wife Elsa about the future Nazi dictator after his release from prison in 1924 following a failed coup.

His fears for Jews in his native

Germany increased when Hitler laid out his anti-semitic political manifesto in Mein Kampf.

Elsa, writing to her cousin Erich in 1934, describes Einstein as a “seer” and a “prophet”.

This, she explains, is why he had advocated the establishment of Israel for Jewish people to settle in.

She wrote: “We truly used to be German to the core until our eyes were forced open by Hitler’s arrival. My husband has the gifts of a seer, there is a bit of the prophet in him. For almost 10 years now, he has realised and foreseen all this, and lived and worked accordingly.

“Thus, his advocacy for the further establishment of Palestine.”

The two-page letter was written from Princeton, New Jersey, where the Einsteins had emigrated in 1933 to escape Nazism. It will be sold on Wednesday by a private collector with US auctioneer Nate D Sanders.

A spokesman said: “Einstein recognised the significance and danger of Hitler almost a decade before he was elected chancellor.

“Many Jews in Germany didn’t take the rise of Hitler seriously until it was too late.”

Einstein died in 1955.

1

Get down on all fours, palms and knees on the floor. Slowly widen your legs so that they are wider than your shoulders.

2

Place cushions under your knees for comfort. Keep your buttocks in line with your knees. Keep your core engaged and breathe normally. Hold for 30 to 60 seconds.
