WILL SEX WITH PAL HARM OUR FRIENDSHIP?

I’m a woman in my early 20s and I have a friendship dilemma. I was talking to a female friend the other night and she admitted she was attracted to me and would love to hook up. We’d both had a couple of glasses of wine by this point.

I’ve always considered myself straight, but I’m also open minded sexually and was quite turned on by the idea.

I like the idea of some fun and she’s very attractive, but I’m also worried about how it might affect our friendship. I’d love your opinion.

I think sex always has the potential to affect a friendship. So you need to talk to her more about what she’s looking for and if you want the same thing.

Is it just a bit of fun or are we talking a relationship?

I think you both have to be clear from the start about what your expectations are and also discuss the potential pitfalls – that is, if the romance or the sex goes off the boil then can you still be mates?

There isn’t the opportunity to meet right now anyway, so it should give you plenty of time to talk over the options or get something started via video call.
