CHARLIE DANIELS issued a warning after Pompey were left seven points shy of the automatic promotion slots.

Jerry Yates struck eight minutes from time to push the hosts down to fifth.

Defender Daniels said: “Things need to change – and they need to change very quickly because games will start to run out for us.”

DAVID STOCKDALE was thrilled to mark his first Championship appearance since May 2018 with a clean sheet.

And his role between the sticks was like music to the ears of Gareth Ainsworth, rock band singer in The Cold Blooded Hearts when he’s not bossing Wycombe.

Keeper Stockdale (above) was recalled from his loan at Stevenage on Friday after No.1 Ryan Allsop was injured in training.

After signing the relevant paperwork, Stockdale’s biggest task was to tip over a fierce Scott Malone drive just after half-time.

He said: “I was not called back until late Friday and there was a hoo-ha over signing forms to get back.

“I think it is two years and seven months since I last played in the Championship so it was nice to get back and help the lads to a point.”

Gary Rowett spent most of the first half yelling at the referee.

Afterwards, he praised Jarred Gillett for being spot on in booking Millwall winger Jed Wallace for a dive and then waving away second-half penalty claims from both sides. The Lions boss joked: “With no fans, you need to have a bit of excitement in your life.

“I can’t go down the pub and have a nice glass of wine or a pint. Shouting at the ref is about as good as it gets at the moment.”
