JLO’S BEST CRUNCHES ARE CRISPS ON COUCH

-

Famed couch potato Jennifer Lopez shows off the sculptured backside that allows her to partake in one of her favourite pastimes.

The 51-year-old singer, looking incredible in a white swimsuit during a “self-care” day, insisted a few weeks ago: “I do sit on the couch and eat potato chips. The thing is not to get too used to it, because it’s so easy and so fun.”

It has been very hard to do anything but get used to eating crisps on the sofa this past year, thanks Jennifer.

1

Don’t drink your calories – quench thirst with water or low-calorie drinks. Swap milky lattes for Americanos.

2

Plan meals and make sure you have all the ingredients you need to make them – it means you’ll be less tempted to grab a takeaway in desperation.

3

Eat less meat and more plants – for example, use less mince and more beans in a chilli, or replace some of the meat in stews with lentils or barley.

4

If you do have meat, swap calorie-laden sausages, burgers and pies for small portions of lean meat. Or switch to seafood or chicken instead.

5

Choose reduced-fat dairy and only use small amounts of butter or spreads.

6

Eat fewer fatty and sugary snacks such as crisps, chocolates, cakes and biscuits.

7

Eat more fruit and veg – and vary your choices so you don’t get bored. Turn some of your favourite meals into veggie options, eg lasagne, curry, risotto.

8

Trade white pasta, rice, noodles and bread for wholemeal or brown varieties – the extra fibre will help to fill you up.

9

Limit alcohol – it’s full of calories but little else and too much will weaken your resolve to eat well.

10

Aim to lose up to 2lbs a week – that means in five weeks you could lose up to 10lbs.
