MUZZA’S GOT MORE AMMO

- BY JEREMY CROSS

v 7.45pm GLENN MURRAY says he is happy being a short-term gun for hire at Nottingham Forest.

The former Brighton striker (above) teamed up with ex-boss Chris Hughton again in January.

He has chipped in two goals during a Forest turnaround which sees them 11 points clear of the drop zone going into tonight’s Luton clash.

Murray, 37, said: “It’s 12 weeks’ work I’m going to enjoy as much as I possibly can, playing at my age. What happens after that, we’ll see.

“At the minute, I feel great, but I might go out tomorrow and something might go wrong. I’m sure we’ll sit down and speak about the future when the time is right.”

BARCELONA have been thrown into turmoil following a number of arrests at the club’s offices.

Catalan police confirmed they made several arrests yesterday morning (inset) as part of an investigation into financial problems at the Nou Camp.

The number of arrests made and the identity of those involved have not yet been confirmed. But it is understood former president Josep Bartomeu, his advisor Jaume Masferrer, Barca CEO Oscar Grau and head of legal services Roman Ponti are among those arrested as part of the raid.

Bartomeu announced his resignation in October and the latest news comes in the week the club’s presidential elections are due to take place. The police have been searching for evidence into the “Barcagate” media scandal that engulfed the club 12 months ago.

It was alleged that Barca, under the leadership of Bartomeu, paid a thirdparty company to smear ex-players, current players, including Lionel Messi, and presidential candidates on social media.

Barca denied the allegations and terminated their contract with the company.

YOU know kit manufacturers make two versions of each kit — pro kits and stadium kits, the latter of which is for the, shall we say, roomier gentleman? Well, can I suggest the PGMOL and

Nike start producing stadium kits for Premier League referees? Because one or two of them look — a little bit like me — as if they’ve been enjoying a little too much Netflix and Chill during lockdown.
