BARNES CAN STILL BOOK THE EUROS

- BY DAVE ARMITAGE

ENGLAND hopeful Harvey Barnes has been told he still has time to book a place for this summer’s Euros.

Leicester winger Barnes was taken off on a stretcher with a knee injury against Arsenal on Sunday.

But Brendan Rodgers reckons the 23-year-old (above) can return in six weeks and go on to join boss Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad for the European Championship.

Foxes manager Rodgers said: “Our doctor here has many years of experience in sports and, yeah, that would be a rough timeline on it.

“It’s obviously a big disappointment for Harvey because he’s been so good for us this season.

“I’m disappointed for him, but hopefully he can still make a big contribution. Gareth Southgate has seen a lot of our games.”
