Christmas, debate raged back in the UK over whether their “work trips” were really necessary.

And while some social media stars defended their exotic breaks, TOWIE’S Jess Wright chose to cancel her New Year trip “for obvious reasons”, she says.

about a year. It was just about being considerate. We made the decision to not go because it was the right thing to do.” It proved timely. Six family members contracted coronavirus over the festive period, and she and brother Mark have been “devastated” by the loss of their uncle Eddie to the virus. “I’d have just wanted to fly straight home,” says Jess. “It’s been absolutely horrendous.”

The reality star is releasing a line of gym clothes and bridal lingerie with Pour Moi ahead of her Majorca wedding to William Lee-kemp, though it comes amid “frustrating” uncertainty surrounding travel regulations.

“The most important thing is that we’re healthy but of course it’s got us down,” she admits.

“I hope that a crazy engagement makes for a good marriage.”

The Jess Wright Edit launches today at pourmoi.co.uk.
