OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has warned his players not to be conned by Tottenham in tomorrow’s grudge match. He admitted Manchester United will be fired up to avenge the 6-1 humiliation at Old Trafford six months ago, but urged them to keep cool.

EDINSON CAVANI has still not made up his mind whether or not to stay at Old Trafford for another season.

But it looks increasingly unlikely the 34-year-old Uruguayan (above) will extend his time with Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like the vastly experienced striker to commit to the next campaign but understands Cavani’s reluctance.

The Reds manager explained: “I’ve kept in touch with Edi and we keep an open dialogue. He’s still unsure what he wants to do next season, which is fine.

“It has not been an easy year – either for him or the rest of the world so he still wants time to make his mind up.”

But regardless of Cavani’s destiny for 2021/22, Solskjaer is convinced United fans will see the best of him in the last two months of this term.

He said: “I’m very sure we will get the good version of Edinson for the rest of the season. He knows this is the business end of the season.

“We are fighting for the Europa League and we can see the end line in the league. There are only eight games left and you are thinking about where you are going to end up.

“He has been so positive around the place, he’s been great to have, he’s been working hard to get fit and hopefully we can keep him fit the next six or seven weeks.”
