the tablets as he was concerned that with the loss of so much weight he was afraid of my blood pressure dropping too low but thankfully I had no ill effects and I’m now tablet clear.” As already alluded to, clothes had become an issue with Lee before he embarked on his weight loss journey.

However, as I pointed out to him, judging by his pictures he was obviously still a big fan of IFA branded gear – a question that brought a laugh and an amusing response.

“Yes, it does appear that way, but the fact is that I’ve undertaken four courses with the Irish Football Association for my coaching badges and on each occasion you were supplied with gear to wear while participating,” said Lee.

“The problem was that the gear they supplied for the courses didn’t fit me back then and it’s only now that I’m getting the benefit of it all.”

“I’ve been losing an average of four pounds a week so if that stops I’ll reassess where I am at and put a long-term plan in place that will hopefully let me keep the weight off.

“The odd pint or takeaway would be nice sometime in the future, but there’s no way I want to undo the success of the past six months.”
