ARSENAL MAY BAG CASH FOR AINSLEY..
AINSLEY MAITLAND-NILES is being targeted for a summer transfer following his impressive loan spell at West Brom.
Crystal Palace are the latest Premier League club to show interest in the Arsenal midfielder, who will have two years left on his current deal at the end of the season.
Maitland-niles (above) moved in January to get regular football and has put in strong performances for the Baggies, who are making a late push for survival under Sam Allardyce.
Leeds have also been watching developments while Monaco are interested too.
Wolves made a big attempt to sign him permanently last summer but Maitland-niles ended up staying at Arsenal.
A lack of opportunities saw him push for a loan move in January.
And despite interest from Southampton, Newcastle and Leicester, he went to The Hawthorns to try and get regular game time in midfield.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta did not give Maitland-niles many opportunities – and often used him at wing-back.
Although he was happy to do a job for the team, he wanted to show he can be a Premier League midfielder.
There will be no shortage of interest in the versatile 23-year-old, who was in the England team which won the Under-20s World Cup in 2017.
Arsenal now face a crunch decision in a few months as Arteta looks to rebuild his squad and – despite saying Maitlandniles has a future at the Emirates – they may yet decide to cash in.
Gunners fans will be reluctant to see him go as he was a key player in their FA Cup success last year but Maitland-niles will want regular football having shone at West Brom.
