LARNE boss Tiernan Lynch saluted his boys after they battled back to claim a win against high-flying Crusaders at Seaview.

Ross Clarke shot the North Belfast side into a first half lead, but Larne came out with all guns blazing after the break with goals from Johnny Mcmurray, Ronan Hale and Dylan Mottley-henry (above).

“We were poor in the first half, but we showed great character after the interval,” claimed Lynch. “The boys were tremendous from a performance and bravery point of view.

“They didn’t feel sorry for themselves and I couldn’t be more proud of them.”

Crusaders boss Stephen Baxter insisted his boys were punished for making schoolboy errors.

“We committed three bad mistakes and I’ve spoken to the players about it,” he said. “When people are not doing their jobs properly, it allows our opponents to score a simple goal. The third goal, I’d rather not talk about.” CRUSADERS: O’neill, Burns, Kennedy, Mcgonigle, Caddell, Forsythe, O’rourke, Thompson, Heatley, R. Clarke, Larmour.
