Actor Harry wells up after death scene
HEARTBREAKING Abi at son’s Seb’s bedside after attack
ACTOR Harry Visinoni cried real tears after filming the heartbreaking death scene of his Corrie character Seb Franklin.
Seb and girlfriend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) were attacked by a gang over her “gothic” appearance.
Last night viewers saw Seb’s mum Abi (Sally Carman) break down after hospital tests showed his heart had stopped.
Harry, 21, who has been on the soap since 2016, said: “It was quite emotional filming the final scene. At the end was the ‘that’s a wrap for Harry’ and I got a clap. I was welling up which is rare for me.”
Speaking before it was shown, he added: “I’m very proud of what I’ve done and want to watch it. It will hit my mum pretty hard. My sister will force her to watch it.
“I sent a photo of the make-up to my girlfriend and she was horrified. It’s a fitting end to the character. I never intended to stay in the show forever but it was a goal to play a major part in a story as big as this.”
Of issues brought up in the plot, he said people make “drastic assumptions” about how people express themselves. “Ignorance has consequences, so Seb was killed as a product of this, blind hate and prejudice. It comes from a lack of understanding. Hopefully this will start a conversation.”
Harry admitted he was “awestruck” of co-star Sally’s acting skills.
He said: “Her ability to just tap into that emotion at the drop of a hat. It was amazing scene after scene.”
Sally told the Mirror: “You’ve just got to pull on your own experiences.
“I’ve never had anyone die on me in that situation. You have to go to maybe a time of your life where you’ve been heartbroken or lost something or had a big shock.
“It is emotionally tiring but satisfying to know you have hit it.” Abi will seek justice for her son next week.
