BOURNEVIEW MILL went top of Intermedia­te A at the weekend with a comprehens­ive 4-1 win over visitors Laurelvale.

A double from Evans and one apiece from Calvert and Smith saw Mark Jackson’s men hit the 16 point mark from their seven games played which is two more than the chasing pack.

Meanwhile, secondplac­ed Ballymacas­h Rangers sent out another statement of intent when they handed out a 10-0 drubbing to Markethill Swifts to give Lee Forsythe his fifth straight win.

A hat-trick from Chris Ferguson, double strikes from Michael Moore and Justin Armstrong and others from Matty Johnston Stuart Clarke and Stevie Glasgow gave their home support plenty to cheer.

Windmill Stars also remain unbeaten from their first five starts, a two all draw with Hanover at Brownstown Park seeing Ciaran Mccourt’s Newrybased club drop their first points.

Rovers earned a point in their 1-1 draw with visitors Valley Rangers courtsey of a goal from Neil Allen.

Lurgan Town won 7-1 at Broomhedge Maghaberry to go clear at the top of the table – two from Adil Faila, single strikes from Ziggy Gargasas, Matt Irvine, Luca Gregson, John Milne and an offortunat­e own goal left them a point clear of Seagoe United who returned from Dungannon Tigers with a hard fought 1-0 victory.

Eight goals also rained in at Craigavon City, the home side bagging five to see off Lower Maze, while neighbours AFC Craigavon picked up their first league point of the season in a 1-1 draw with visitors Tullyvalle­n.
