Schools targeted by sinister Covid letter

Adverse reactions include blindness & deafness FAKE EMAIL SENT TO SCHOOL PRINCIPALS

A FAKE letter telling school principals that Covid vaccines can make people go blind or deaf should be ignored, health chiefs say.

The email was sent to postprimary schools across Northern Ireland to be shared with parents ahead of young people getting the vaccine.

Labelled “NHS Vaccines Consent Checklist” it contains a number of claims that patients, carers and clinicians are asked to tick.

Among the claims are: “We will not know what the possible long term effects of the Covid-19 vaccines may be (eg infertility) until after the studies of the clinical trials conclude in 2023. For this reason, the Covid-19 vaccines may be considered experimental.”

It also states: “Adverse reactions to the Covid-19 vaccines include, but are not limited to: strokes, blindness, deafness, clotting, miscarriages, anaphylaxis and cardiovascular disorders.”

It is understood a similar letter has been “doing the rounds” in England and that school heads in Northern Ireland identified it as a hoax before forwarding it onto parents. Sources say the Education Authority became aware of the email and warned local schools.

The Public Health Agency said they had contacted schools to “ask that they only circulate information from reliable sources”.

They added: “We would urge parents to read the information leaflets and talk to your children about the vaccines and make an informed decision together. But it’s important that you check your information comes from a reliable and trusted source. There is lots of misinformation out there, particularly about the vaccine.”

It is understood some schools elsewhere in the UK mistakenly circulated the hoax checklist to parents.

Around 100,000 children and young people aged 12-15 in Northern Ireland will be offered a jab by the start of December.
