In the Sex Pistols’ heyday, Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen were the shocking couple everyone talked about.
Yet now there’s another pair raising eyebrows: Thomas Brodie-sangster, 32, and Elon Musk’s ex-wife Talulah Riley, 36.
Just hours after appearing on the red carpet for Danny Boyle’s new band biopic Pistol, the co-stars-turnedlovers were causing a stir on social media – as many struggled to believe the little kid from Love Actually was now old enough to date the (twotimes) ex-wife of the richest man in the world. After all, when Talulah’s ex was putting rockets in space, her baby-faced beau was still getting ID’D for a pint (despite being well into his 20s).

And sadly, such was the case when Kate Moss guest-starred in this season’s biggest TV drama, Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard.
OK, it was always billed as a supporting role, but it was a real case of blink and you’ll miss her: she popped up, made us nostalgic for the 90s’ days of Johnny and Kate, and popped off a few minutes later.
Her only purpose in the plot was to assert that Depp was in no way responsible for her slipping on some
stairs... some 28 years ago. Indeed, the big-budget drama that is the televised Depp vs Heard libel case is shaping up to have more backstory and supporting cast than Game of Thrones. But after six weeks of testimony and yesterday’s closing arguments, how will this court drama end?
Perhaps it’ll actually echo Gots’ explosive and divisive finale: the leading lady written off as mad and out of control, the male lead retreating into obscurity, tired of blow after blow after blow.
Or, maybe they’ll realise the outcome doesn’t really matter at all.
For in this quick-to-judge world, win or lose, they’re already “cancelled”.
