Panda cubs are thriving

TWIN panda cubs born in Vienna turned 16 days old yesterday and are said to be fit and healthy.

They have survived a potentially fatal time when the mother tends to pay attention to one newborn, leaving the other to die.

Schoenbrunn Zoo released a video of the mother Yang Yang holding the tiny cubs in her paws and licking them.

It said the giant panda was “extremely relaxed in her care” of the babies.
