Teens in dark over careers
SCHOOL leavers have heard of just 70 of the 369 occupations listed by the Government, a study shows.
And experts say careers advice is so bad in some areas it could lead to youngsters being unemployed.
City & Guilds, which carried out the survey of 3,200 teenagers, is calling for a new national careers advice master plan.
Kirstie Donnelly, managing director of City & Guilds, said “giving everyone access to employers in schools” is one of the main things that is needed.
