Fuller on prowl for roar talent

-

American Idol boss Simon Fuller has teamed up with the BBC to launch a wildlife docudrama, we can reveal. The former Spice Girls manager, 56, began shooting the project last year. A source says: “Simon grew up in West Africa. He knows that the life and death struggles of the beasts of the wild are just as compelling as the daily dramas of family life. This new series will be set in the heart of the African bush.” Grammy winner John Downer is directing the series. Our source adds: “Downer’s using new techniques that put the viewer into the heart of the animal habitat – and the results are incredible.” Fuller has said the project, announced tomorrow, is “exciting... with a global perspective”. It airs on BBC One in 2017.
