Hot tubs ‘are a wash-out’
HIRING a chef or gardener are the modern symbols of success – while personalised number plates or hot tubs are vulgar, a poll says.
Around 62% view a swimming pool as crass while 66% consider a large TV the same, reveals a report by Rainbow Au Pairs.
But having a chef (62%), cleaner (18%), gardener (48%) or au pair (59 %) are seen as true affluence signs.
Rainbow Au Pairs’ Cynthia Cary said: “Brits increasingly value having more time over displays of wealth.”
