BETTING SLIP-UP OVER IRON MAN
Ladbrokes has been rapped for using comic book hero Iron Man to plug online gambling. The bookmaker included an image from the recent Iron Man 3 movie in an email promotion for its cyber casino. Ladbrokes said it was targeting adults. But industry regulator the Advertising Standards Authority banned the image for breaking its rules as Iron Man was a big hit with children. Online bookie 888 fell foul of the same breach in 2013 for using Spider-Man in an advert.
