Jeremy: I wanted to sit with my wife
JEREMY Corbyn has admitted he sat on the floor of a “ram-packed” Virgin Train as he could not find seats together with his wife.
The Labour leader said yesterday: “There wasn’t a place for all of us to sit down.” His campaign also backtracked on Mr Corbyn’s claim he got a message of support from ex-US presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders. He was “misinformed by an aide wrongly led to believe this was the case”, a spokesman said.
