F-word rant of memorial desecrator
X Factor boss lifts ban over his fruit stunt
A VILE woman who twice urinated on a war memorial has ranted in court that veterans have done “f*** all”.
Kelly Martin, 42, appalled families when she pulled down her knickers in broad daylight and desecrated the monument in a town centre.
The mum-of-five defiled the memorial in her hometown of Grays, Essex, in June – on the eve of the centenary of the Battle of the Somme – and in April.
An ex-serviceman told Basildon magistrates yesterday about the heroics of the fallen and how veterans were offended by Martin.
But she screamed: “I take no notice of that because they have done f*** all.”
Martin will be sentenced by a judge next month for outraging public decency.
CALVIN Harris can again enjoy the fruits of success on The X Factor… as boss Simon Cowell finally forgives the superstar DJ for his Jedward pineapple stunt.
Sources say Simon, 56, gave him a ring last year for the first time since booting him out for invading the stage with a pineapple on his head as Jedward sang Queen’s Under Pressure.
Now Calvin, 32, is tipped to return in the new series, which starts on ITV1 tomorrow – joining panellist Nicole Scherzinger for Judges’ Houses in the South of France next month.
It means Cowell has lifted his “lifetime ban” on the Scottish star, real name Adam Wiles, who had been due to perform his hit We Found Love with Rihanna in 2009 but was escorted from the studio after his stunt. He later branded the show “a joke”. Two years ago he said: “I’m not allowed back.”
After a fruitful few years he is now worth an estimated £30million and is an A-lister in the US after romances with Taylor Swift, 26, and former X Factor judge Rita Ora, 25.
The first live show in October will pay tribute to Prince and David Bowie. Simon’s brother Tony Cowell wrote in his Best magazine column: “Simon is a huge fan of Bowie.”
