ITV: PEPPA PIG IS TOO GREEDY

ITV yesterday ditched a £1billion bid to buy the firm behind kids’ TV hit Peppa Pig.

Shares in Entertainment One slumped 14% after ITV confirmed that it’s walking away.

ITV reckons eOne isn’t worth more than the 236p a share it offered earlier this month.

It paves the way for a possible bid from elsewhere.

Reports say private equity giant KKR, which owns Pets at Home and Trainline, is among those interested.
