GARY BOWYER hailed Jordan Flores after starting the midfielder on the bench.

This win, secured by goals from Bright Osayi Samuel and Kyle Vassell after Lewis Alessandra put Hartlepool ahead, moved the Seasiders into the play-off zone.

The manager said: “Leaving Flores out was a tough decision. But you saw when he came on that he got us playing.”

Hartlepool boss Dave Jones said: “There is plenty to build on.”
